Noise Texture Generator 🌫️
Generate procedural noise textures in your browser — random, value, and fractal noise with adjustable size, scale, and color. Download as PNG.
About the Noise Texture Generator
The Noise Texture Generator runs entirely in your browser. Pick a noise type — random (white noise), value, fractal, or cellular/Voronoi — then adjust the size, scale, contrast, tint, opacity, and seed. The preview updates instantly and you can download the result as a PNG. Everything happens locally with the Canvas API; nothing is uploaded.
Noise types
- Random (white noise) — Each pixel is an independent random value. Looks like TV static.
- Value noise — Smoothly interpolated random values at a coarse grid, producing soft cloudy patterns.
- Fractal noise — Several octaves of value noise layered together for a more detailed, natural look.
- Cellular / Voronoi — Random points generate cells; each pixel is shaded by distance to its nearest point. Looks like scales, cracks, or bubbles.
How to use the generator
- Choose the noise type and image size.
- Adjust Scale to zoom in/out of the pattern, Contrast to stretch the value range, and pick a Tint color + opacity to colorize.
- Tick Invert to flip bright and dark values.
- Set a Seed for reproducible output, or click 🎲 to randomize.
- Click Generate to re-render, then Download PNG to save.
Frequently asked questions
What's the largest size I can generate? 1024×1024 is offered in the dropdown. Larger sizes are possible but slower — your browser's memory is the limit.
Are the textures seamless/tileable? Random and value noise naturally tile by default for sizes that are multiples of the grid. Fractal noise can show seams at octave boundaries; cellular noise is not seamless.
What is a seed? A seed initializes the random number generator. Using the same seed always produces the same texture, so you can reproduce results.
Does this tool upload my settings? No. All generation happens locally in your browser.
